Museo Picasso Malaga

The new Museo Picasso Malaga is a renovation and expansion of a 16th century palace located in the ancient city of Malaga on the southern coast of Spain. Heald was hired to photograph the museum for a book on the building which has just been published by the Museo Picasso Malaga.  The spectacular setting, Gluckman’s sensitive renovation and intervention, and the complex interweaving of the contemporary with the ancient creates an extraordinary architectural ensemble.  A selection of Heald’s photographs from this project appeared in the October 2004 issue of Architectural Record.
