| David Heald is based in New York and Connecticut and collaborates closely with architects, landscape architects, interior designers and collectors to create distinctive views of their projects throughout the world. David's photography is distinguished by a refined sensitivity to light, space and design. His compositions are founded on a passion for the subject of architecture and over 25 years of experience photographing buildings and fine art objects. David's career began in the photography studio at the Cleveland Museum of Art where he acquired expertise in photographing art objects from one of the finest museum collections in the world. Since 1985 Heald has been Chief Photographer for the Guggenheim Museum in New York where he has created an extended study of Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic masterpiece on Fifth Avenue. When Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim Museum Bilbao opened in 1997 Heald was sent to photograph this extraordinary building for the book “Frank O. Gehry – Guggenheim Museum Bilbao”. |
